I’ll be back in Texas next year!! After being in the military for 24 years I’ve seen a lot of places I DON’T want to live.
I just went to Texas over the weekend. Just crossing the state line made me feel “home” in many ways. Even though I was in West Texas I still felt a sense of relief. I am from Central Texas and will be back there next year to stay. It can’t get here soon enough.
We need another addition to the conversion chart:
km to miles
miles to West Texas miles (these are longer)

I live in Seguin on the edge of the hill country and its mighty dry...
I have a well so I can still work on my yard to keep the stickers from taking over.. but still.
we need an biblical rain.
If you are on a well you can use a sprinkler thats for sure
I’m in Lakeway—not that far from you.
It’s really bad—but it is what it is....one thing I can’t do anything about.
The forecast today is for 8 degrees less than yesterday’s temps were—only 100 today—it hit 108 yesterday!
I laugh when ERCOT tells us to keep our thermostat on our AC’s 20 degrees less than the outside air temp
So on Tuesday we were supposed to set our Thermostats to 90 degrees... yeah right.
Its already a long hot summer...
