You did jump in awfully quick which I also disagreed with, but I would have to concur your last post and your frustration.
I have been here since 1998. I have seen thousands of posts about how the polls are inaccurate and we are really going to win this time...or some other for sure item...only to have my hope dashed by reality.
It does get old...I have gone dormant more than once out of frustration.
How many hundreds and thousands of posts were sure Palin would run?
The problem is that the barriers of “fear of change” and belief in the “status quo” in regards to our elected representatives have created effectively “life appointments” for all intents for our legislature.
47 of our senators were former house members. Average House serves 5 terms...longest is 29 terms. For example Pat Roberts (R-KS) serviced in the house from 1981-1997 and has been their senator since 1997. I don’t know if Pat Roberts is a good or bad guy...but that is WAY too long...

As you point out...these who are supposed to ‘fix’ it all....they haven’t even passed a budget!

Keep plugging away...support your local tea party (I have found that they are much more realistic about goals, common sense about approaches than most of the posters on FR)...fly your flag with pride...mine is flapping in the breeze outside right now. Probably going to get me a Texas come and take it flag or a gadsen.

Yep, Texas flag for me. Texas at least still believes in the republic and what it stands for. Hopefully they will keep defying the feds on Obamacare.
