Today's SCOTUS Decision Dooms Obama's Reelection
Breitbart ^ | Mike Flynn

Posted on 06/29/2012 12:19:26 AM PDT by MindBender26

Yes, Obama and the Democrats are entitled to a bit of a victory lap today, after Chief Justice Roberts searched deeply within his political self and found a path to uphold ObamaCare.

Today's ruling will probably go down in history as the most effective GOP voter turnout operation ever. There is only one way to repeal ObamaCare and that is through the ballot box. It will happen.

Obama campaigned on a promise to never raise taxes on any families earning less than $250,000 a year. Today, the Court called the mandate for what it is...a tax. In doing so, it acknowledged that, not only did Obama break his campaign promise, but he and his leftist allies have ushered in the largest tax hike in history. They will go with that record into the voting booth in November.

From a nakedly partisan viewpoint, today's ruling is the best case scenario for the GOP. ObamaCare is still deeply unpopular and now the only way to undo it is to sweep Obama and dozens of Democrats out of office.

Roberts may have pulled off the ultimate Jedi Knight mind trick. He upheld the law by framing it as a tax, which runs counter to Obama's campaign promises. He has ensured that the only way to appeal the law is to prevail, across the board, in November. That was ultimately always the case.

Patriots around the country will now realize that there is no cavalry on the horizon. If we want to preserve our liberties, we will have to fight for it. Patriots and Independents now have a singular reason to show up at the polls in November. This focus will doom Obama's reelection campaign.

Today, I donated to a congressional candidate who is committed to repealing ObamaCare. What did you do?

“Looks like a lot of people have forgotten the concept of taxation without representation.”

TRUE. People need to wake up and accept the fact that the Republicrat oligarchy ruling America DOES NOT represent the people.

Voting against Obama is a necessary first small step, but there must be a strategy to purge our government of all professional politicians, both with a “D” and “R” by their name.

The problem is the “no third party” crowd. Until they accept the reality that there is only one “party” in power, we will never be able to elect an opposition to the Republicrat socialists.

Texas secession is now what I hope is a long term solution.

How about a Republic of Texas? I bet a few of their neighbors could be convinced to come along for the ride.

Not all will play the game. Look for an increase in civil disobedence.

A geographical core of TX, LA, AR, OK makes pretty good sense. Purging entitlements would insure that we would remain a conservative republic.

Yeah, we have great conservative leaders out there fighting for us like Bob Dole, John McCain, George Bush, and now Mitt Romney.

If the Republicans DON’T get their act together to stop this nonsense then I’ll support a third party and let the chips fall where they may-regardless of what people like Rush says.

Failed logic, there are 2 parts,

1. The individual mandate requires people to buy insurance

2. The penalty is to pay a fine (the tax)

"I am weary, let me rest."

The managed care panels in Obamacare will make that decision for you, maybe permanently. In the final analysis, this isn't about health care; it is about power and control. Support the leftist program or suffer the consequences - limited access, delays and denials of needed care.

“Today’s SCOTUS Decision Dooms Obama’s Reelection “

No, I don’t think so.

There are a few things that result, politically, from this decision.

1. Republicans have to come up with more than “Repeal” - they actually have to come up with a plan. I can list some of what should be in that plan, but I also know none of what should be in the plan will be.

2. The Republicans will instead use the tried-and-true Democrat strategy “They are trying to take away your Medicare”, which will probably actually work, given that the Tea Party is really the “I want my Medicare” party.

So what to do?

If I’m diabolical, I’d say let it go, let Medicare and every other great society program get wrapped into Obama Care....THEN repeal it

Unfortunately, Too many Republicans, and too many folks on this board are dependent on government handouts of some sort or another and think they “were promised” a check from government.

So, Republicans will go with the “We will protect your Medicare”.

We are a socialist country now.

Republicans

"True! We, the American People, will have the final say in Nov, not the Supreme Court."

Maybe. Obama's just announced non-amnesty amnesty, with work permits for all who can show they came here as children, are between 16 and 30 and have been here for five years is an artifice legitimize millions and bring in millions more who will suddenly have the necessary documentation. These people will be given work permits and Obama's proxies will register them to illegally vote. The DOJ war on the states to prevent any effective purging of voter rolls or effective voter ID procedures is part of the plan. How many illegal votes will it take for Obama to win and cancel the outrage of American citizens? Obama intends to win by any means necessary.

For those who don't go whole hog for WMR..Remember we need to take back the Senate....

Here's contact information for the National Republican Senate Committee

Most primaries are over. Can proudly say IN will be replacing Lugar with Mourdock. How many more seats can we pick up? Only need fifty one to deal with “tax” issues!

Obama will be re-elected because the powers that be want it so. Americans have been dumbed down by decades of poor education and pop culture trash until the majority of us are now dumb trash.

My predictions:

1. There will be QE3 which will buoy the stock market going into the last weeks before the election.

2. Obama will launch more giveaways that promise to help the unemployment situation and downtrodden industries.

3. Hillary will replace Biden. The pop culture celebrity status of Hillary! will draw millions of morons who don't really know what she stands for but "just really like her".

4. The media will act as assassin toward Romney and cheerleader for Obama.

Here in the conservative world, we read and listen to alternative news sources that, hopefully, give us the straight news, but the vast majority of America is inundated by the MSM who do a masterful job of propagandizing the simpleminded.

The conservative talking heads (Rush, Hannity, etc.) who are beating the drum over the Obamacare decision are selling, selling, selling. They know that their fan base is angry and looking for outlets. Now is the time to sign up for Rush24/7 and buy Hannity's books and blah, blah, blah. They love this kind of atmosphere as it makes money for them. They are self-serving salesmen, not leaders.

We've lost the battle and the war. Now, it's time to be a refugee.

I am miserable about the precedent that this ruling sets, however...

Given that Roberts and SCOTUS declared the only reason the law stands today is by saying the “individual mandate” is a TAX,

it appears indisputable now that Congress will be able to repeal the individual mandate and perhaps the whole bill now through “reconciliation”. Thus, we will only need a simple majority of votes in each chamber of Congress plus the presidency, and filibuster problems won’t come into play. The Dems and Obama will of course complain bitterly, but if they take their objections to court, Roberts’ text will quickly squash them.

we, the People win if we elect veto proof House and Senate. Senate needs help. If you don’t want to support wmr get involved with electing Senators.

National Republican Senatorial Committee goal is to elect R Senators.

WAKE THE HELL UP!!! Do you want Obama and a DEMOCRAT SENATE AGAIN???? WAKE UP!! BE A PATRIOT and CHOOSE BETWEEN YOUR CHOICES.....DON'T HOPE FOR A FAIRY GODFATHER!! Vote REPUBLICAN and then hold their feet to the fire!!!

The only option left.

Started working on it yesterday. Flipped a doofus who was planning to vote for Ted Nugent.

If the only consolation is short term (defeating the White Hut occupier at the polls), then I'll take it. It's better than nothing.
