Scott Ott (of PJTV and an OH County Commissioner) is right. This is bigger than Watergate. But I fear we no longer have the culture that is willing prosecute “elites” as we did in the past.
We only prosecute elites if they are of the republican persuasion.
Watergate was a second rate burglary. The resulting "scandal" was the media seeing a chance to take down a president hated roundly by that same media.
The difference is that the media today is fully invested in the election and installation of Obama, and they are more than willing to hide what honest "journalists" would realize are criminal acts.
Quite frankly, the media, or what I refer to as "the ministry of propaganda" is willing to overlook uncounted murders, as long as it advances their ideology.
This really isn't anything new. The left resisted the US entering WWII until Hitler attacked Stalin's Soviet Union. And of course there's the NY Times shameful (and evil) hiding of Stalin's atrocities committed against the Ukrainians, reporting how wonderful things were in the Soviet Union while Stalin was systematically starving many tens of millions of civilians. To this day, the NY Times refuses to denounce Walter Durante who reported these lies, and continues to promote the fact that he was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for his Stalinist propaganda, published in the NY Times.
