Gusmithing has been my hobby for years, and it may very well become my primary source of income soon.
Not enough gunsmiths in America, and way too many people with guns they have no clue on how to repair much less clean.
Even a simple cleaning service like a monthly plan for a fee gives you weekly cleaning and maintenance, even at your own home.
Like a Stanley Teamer service except it is a service to maintain your weapons by trained professionals. So many people live in diverse areas, even lubricants are important if you live in AZ or AK.
Thats my business plan, an at home tunup, service and firearm cleaning package availabe for a monthly charge.
That's a great idea.

Great idea and good luck. Given the way the country is headed you have a skill that will have value no matter how bad things become. A local community college near me is teaching blacksmithing. I’m thinking about taking it up as a hobby. Again, it is a skill that could be valuable if our civilization collapses and we go to a much more primitive economy.
That’s a great idea. Do you have the vapor hoods for dealing with the solvents? How about industrial grade steel sinks? On-site waste treatment. (You aren’t going to flush the gunk down the toilet?!) Registered all of your chemicals and solvents with the fire department?
The guy up the block does a great job with small engine repair. He wanted to expand it and turn his garage into a full time shop. It was unbelievable the number of hoops they were going to make him jump through. So he just keeps it small. Although I imagine now that he is on their radar they will be watching him.
But a great skill for you to have, and come a certain time, the last thing they (or you) will be concerned about is some new EPA rule.
