RomneyCare by the Numbers

-According to the Beacon Hill Institute the RomneyCare plan has increased total health insurance costs by $4.3 Billion.

-The Kiaser Family Foundation recently found that Massachusetts health insurance premiums are now the highest in the nation. This has come about since the passage of RomneyCare.

-Since the passage of RomneyCare, healthcare costs paid by the state have risen until they now account for 40% of the state budget.

-According to current projections, the average median-income family will be expected to pay nearly a third of its income toward health insurance premiums by 2016.

-According to the Pioneer Institute, total spending on Uncompensated Care and Commonwealth Care has increased by 38% since the passage of RomneyCare.

-Since 2004, the average annual premium for non-group insurance nationally increased from $4,424 to $6,328 in 2009. The Massachusetts Average increased from $10,126 to 13,288 in 2009, spiking up to nearly $17,000 in 2007. RomneyCare was passed in 2006 with the partial purpose of addressing the fact that Massachusetts residents paid so much more than the rest of the country for health insurance.

-Since the passage of RomneyCare the percentage of residents with difficulty paying off their medical bills has remained essentially unchanged. Why are we paying so much more for the same results?

-According to the Beacon Hill Institute, RomneyCare is responsible for nearly 18,500 lost jobs since its passage.

-Since the passage of RomneyCare the average cost of individual coverage has increased by more than 36%

-Since the passage of RomneyCare there has been no significant reduction in Commonwealth Care administrative costs as was promised.

-Since its passage, RomneyCare has cost the Massachusetts economy $29 Million in annual private investment.

Link to some of your articles on how well Virgil will do.

You have me confused with somebody willing to sell their souls and their principles for a win.

When you do this, your principles are more like mere suggestions.

And the Un-Masking of Mitt Romney, the lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal, continues . . .

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Amen SoCon’s wisdom - don’t join the dark side - vote for Virg, or that Romney-supporter Sarah, or Peter Pan - whomever it is that can give you that awesome, feel-good-about-yourself feeling - YOU CAN DO IT!

Romney would just say no, he always was more conservative than whatever Obama suggests he agreed with Obama on...

IF Obama even broaches the subject. Obama is unlikely to want to suggest that Romney is liberal.

A distinction without difference my FRiend. Not sure how you arrive at that conclusion given Romney's well documented history and record:

1. Romney implemented Gay Marriage in MA.
2. Romney WHOLE-HEARTEDLY supported Abortion
3. ALL of Romney's nominees for judicial nominations were extremely moderate to downright radical leftists.
4. Romney implemented his own Assault Weapons Ban
5. Romney supported the Brady Bill
6. Romney almost implemented his own Carbon Cap-and-Trade system.
7. Romney implemented his own version of socialized healthcare complete with an individual mandate and $50 abortions. 8. Romney supported Amnesty (McCain-Kennedy)

So it appears that, assuming that that was the oft-requested Virgil article, that Virg has fantastic ventriloquist skills to speak in other’s voices. This would explain why dummies can’t wait to follow him anywhere....

See rem_mitchell, not a logical, cogent, conservative, moral thought comes out of the more rabid of the ABO's and MittBots.

They have no ammunition except for name-calling, fearmongering, derision, and the Hate-Card for they are backing a known, left-wing, Progressive Liberal whose record has been well documented on FreeRepublic.

Do not fear posting the truth about Mitt Romney, despite the lack of civil argument by the ABO's and MittBots, this is still a conservative web-site committed to fighting Communists, Marxists, Statists, Progressives and Liberals, whether they have a 'D" or an 'R' next to their names.

Keep fighting the good fight my FRiend.

Note that my problem with Romney is that I believe that he will be the easiest candidate for Obama to defeat. I do believe that an Obama 2nd term would be far worse than a Romney term, and I believe that Romney is more likely to be responsive to Republican voters so he would be a better president. My problem with him, is that I’m afraid Obama’s team has been doing anti-Romney research and preparation for four years, so they have a plan to beat him and likely will. My idea is to try to replace Romney at the convention and think we have to start now.
