Team Romney: No, we’re not declaring ‘cease-fire’ on Obamacare
Washington Examiner ^

Posted on 07/03/2012 12:09:58 PM PDT by Perdogg

In the days since the Supreme Court decision upholding Obamacare, some Democrats and commentators in the press have suggested that Mitt Romney is declaring a “cease-fire” on the issue and will no longer make it a centerpiece of his campaign to defeat President Obama.

Here you go! Manifisto ready!

“I, __________________, declare that I have decided that conservatism has failed and as such, I will vote for the Republican Mitt Romney, A man whose history I am aware of regarding his liberalism. It is with open eyes and no regrets that I will disavow everything I believe conservative ideals and the American Constitution ever stood for just to get Obama out of office.

Further, by doing so, I accept that I adopted the very things I formerly despised to get a liberal elected President and henceforth I have no legitimate right to ever be trustworthy again - since my newly adopted situational ethics allow me to bend like a twig in the prevailing political winds.

There you go. “Circumstances.” Situational ethics, moral relativism. And it describes perfectly what’s going on here. Forget about your principles or your conscience. Forget about doing the right thing. You can use situational ethics or moral relativism to justify just about anything (which is exactly what Romney does).

While I respect your service, I have nothing but contempt for anyone willing to vote to be ‘ruled’.

Are you serious? Romney and Obama SHARE that record! Look it up man!!!!

Well, then simply answer the question I posed in # 248.

Who do I vote for, Obama or Romney?

I actually want to hear an honest, well thought out answer to my dilemma.

But please note, as I've told you many times before, it is not for love of Romney, but hatred of Obama that I will vote for Romney. Your problem is that's what I've ALWAYS told you, for many months now, and you've taken that and basically said back to me, “Shove it up you a$$, Romneybot!”

So why should I take that from you anymore, when you always answer me with an FU?

I'm sure lots of us were saying something like that, but she was the first major firgure to say it Jack.

Are you suggesting that the person you supported above all others is stupid because she doesn't know: 1. any person

?

No I’m suggesting you seem unaware of the definition, as per your post suggesting that I was engaging in hyperbole.. I am also flatly stating out SHE made a mistake of large proportion.

And if she actively campaigns for him, that mistake will lessen her influence among conservatives. Her choice to make.

Neither. I will not vote for a big government abortionist/homosexualist statist. Period.

Obama hates us (white, conservative, Christian America). Romney does not.

Obama wants to destroy us. Romney does not.

The immediate threat is Obama. Romney is an awful choice, but my opinion is we’re either stuck with him or we continue with Obama, as no one else can beat Obama, who is the worse and immediate threat.

And damn it, don’t call me a Romneybot!

You are on a conservative site telling conservatives they are idiots for refusing to vote for a liberal.

What are you if not a Romneybot?

It’s better to have someone that is with us more than someone who is completely opposed.

Jim, I cannot let Obama win. It will tear the heart out of this nation. It’s come that far.

I know you. You know me. You know I was (and still am) for Sarah. But even she is asking us to vote for Romney. Not because he’s a good guy, but because Obama is a destroyer.

Too many of us hate the choice we have, but are not going to let Obama win. I really do believe I have to vote for Romney for that reason.

Like when your ship is under attack from a bigger vessel and a rubber zodiac, you fight the bigger vessel and ignore the little one until that big boy is a smoking hulk.

I wasn’t saying a damn thing to you until you started calling me a Romneybot.

You sure can dish it out, but don’t expect me to be your carpet. There are more conservatives on this site who will vote for the Republican over Obama than not vote, vote for a 3rd party, or even, dare say, Obama. Insulting them is something you started.

YOU are the one that had a tantrum. YOU are the one that called everyone everything but purple and YOU are the one threatening to kick asses and take road trips.

Please spare my your butthurt.

The definition comes from her, you still seem to be unaware of that.

And if she stumps for him, there are very few conservatives that will change their minds about her, unfortunately all 50 of you seem to be here.

Most of us understand that there are two people who might be president come mid-January, Bambi or Romney.

*Ponders what to do*

Let's see....should I let the worst, most divisive, most destructive, most anti-American, most pro-Marxist, most pro-death, most hateful administration ever survive, or should I vote for a RINO squish....

Such a hard decision. /s

Grow up, too. Man up to your part with all your smarmy little posts then, too.

You want to piss people off, then expect them to turn it back on you.

I will give you this. If we were face to face, neither of us would talk to each other like that.

I am, before anything else, a Christian, so I will apologize and ask your forgiveness.

“I’m sure lots of us were saying something like that”

You really need to keep your story straight Lake. Lots of us/her...pick one and ride it.

As for the rest, we already established your situational ethics. No need to elaborate.
