The people of Mass have the ability to do what they want with Romneycare. Health care is a state issue, and MA wanted it. Both houses in Ma could have overturned any Romney veto. At least this way he got a seat at the negotiating table.

Reagan horse had more class than the entire Bush family.

It was Reagan who said to always support the Republican party candidate... Reagan choose Bush as his VP

That was then, this is now. Different times. As great as Reagan was, he took Bush as a VP. No one is perfect. Not even Reagan.

Hate Bush all you want, say he was a disaster, so you'd rather have had Gore and Kerry or Gore for 8 years? WTH? That's conservative? Because those elections were close, your vote kept Gore and Kerry out. But you're willing to let Obama stay?

If we'd all stayed home in 2000 and had Gore as President on 9/11 I fear what would have happened.

If I recall events correctly Reagan took Bush to satisfy the ‘eastern establishment’ i.e. money. I don’t believe they were like peas in a pod. That Bush would later come out for ‘a new world order’ I don’t think Reagan was part of such an idea to remove the exceptional characteristic of the USA.

It has to do with his and the policies of others.

You want to continue voting for non-conservative liberal politicians, always voting for one or the other level of evil, it's your choice. But you'd better expect the results to be anything but conservative with larger, more intrusive and more controlling government. This is not complex.

Personally, Mr. Robinson, for me I do not feel I am abandoning my convictions by voting for Romney. I feel that under Romney I can at least “live to fight another day”, where under Obama I will be made to shut up and accept a new reality that after eight years will have a hold on every segment of society. Without Obama we will have no Kathleen Sibelius, Eric Holder, Janet Napalitano, Valerie Jarret, David Axelrod, etc that are really ruining what is left of America as Obama plays yet another round of Golf, vacations, or campaigns, only returning to Washington to rule by Executive Order every so often.

Guess what, when people vote in elections the outcome is not always going to be what you want. If that means to you every election is fraudulent, you’ll fit right in at DU, and why bother posting anything if all Is decided in advance?

I love this passage. However, what do you propose we do, short of taking up arms?

I’m serious, Jim. How do we get where we need to be, and fix this nation, with Obama as president?

That’s exactly what Reagan did— it was called choosing a less then wholly conservative to be on his ticket, practically assuring HW the Presidency in ‘88. it was called pragmatism.

Exactly what people on FR today call “selling out”. Would Reagan be a RINO under this definition?

Then, respectfully, could you please tell me how my family survives another 4 years of Obama? Because I just don’t think we can. Some times, no matter what, my family comes first. And voting conservative down ticket won’t help with a President that rules by executive order.
