McConnell: Obama Trying to Bully Political Enemies Via Disclose Act

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell blasted the Obama administration for supporting the Disclose Act in an Op-Ed today, calling it “an attempt to identify and punish political enemies, or at the very least, intimidate others from participating in the process.”

Writing in USA Today, the Kentucky Republican said the measure is a “serious attempt to limit our freedom of speech that doesn't sound good at first blush.”

The DISCLOSE Act — Democracy is Strengthened by Casting Light on Spending in Elections — would require corporations, unions, and advocacy groups to reveal their roles in political ads or mailings in the closing months of a campaign.

McConnell said that the Disclose Act is billed as reform but is instead an “attempt to identify and punish political enemies, or at the very least, intimidate others from participating in the process — an effort that's already underway.”... more at link...

Hey Mitch, then you and the other RNC types could show some spine and use it against Dear Leader. How about starting with undisclosed overseas donations to his campaign. Remember that? And none of you called for an investigation.

I heard this morning that they are holding up on funds that were set aside to help remodel the Chicago Cubs stadium because he donated some monies to a group who was investigating Rev. Wright.

The Chicago mayor announced he would not even take calls from him concerning the funding.

Meanwhile Obama engages in illegal lotteries for donations and illegally fundraises donations for foreign non-citizen donors abroad.

Two can play the game of intimidation and the reward of promotion and protection. Because the GOP has refused to confront and protect their supporters and instead, left them hanging in the wind of radical perseuction, Dems have that power right now over all US voters, business and institutions.

Fight or step aside McConnell! You have sat on your fat fanny while the Dems have transformed the domestic war on terror against GOP voters, ideology and interests. You dumb a$$. Wake up and use the full force of your power and connections to defeat them and punish them or retire.
