Huckabee: Limbaugh 'Very Critical of Me, Very Wrong'

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has hit back at Rush Limbaugh, saying the talk show host has been “very wrong,” in his criticism of him.

In an interview for the New York Times Magazine, the 2008 presidential candidate was asked if he was “going after” Limbaugh by launching a competing syndicated talk show.

Huckabee responded, “He’s been very critical of me and very wrong. It’s one thing to have an opinion, but the opinion needs to be based on fact.

There was a thread here on FR a couple of weeks ago that gave actual numbers for how Huck’s show is cutting into El Rushbo’s audience. It was beyond pathetic. Huck’s audience is so small there almost aren’t numbers that can go that low.

I think this whole “blame Rush” crock is merely a cheap attempt to gin up a little phoney-baloney controversy in hopes that SOMEBODY might tune in to Huck’s gig and provide a little artificial resperation. I can’t remember Rush even mentioning Huck by name in ages.

Huckster is a snake oil salesman. I trust Rush 1000% more than the Huckster, any day, on anything.

Cutting into Rush’s audience?

Huckabee’s intellect is shallower than a dry river bed.

Rush used to be on 560am and I find myself tuning in, listening and thinking “Who is this passive sounding idiot?”.

Then I remember and I change the channel to 910am.

Suddenly the sun is a little brighter and my breathing better.

No way Huckabee is a good fit for Clear Channel. More like Air America.

He’s Hannity Light.

More from the same NewsMax article:

Huckabee also said that despite being critical of Romney when he was his opponent in 2008, he supports him over President Barack Obama. “It’s not hard for me to be enthusiastically supportive of Mitt Romney,” he told the magazine.

The former Massachusetts governor “far more closely represents what I find important than Obama ever will. I also think he has surrounded himself with good people and will get good advice.”

Huckabeeee is a little loudmouthed mouse looking for attention and PUBLICITY.

He will make a couple of blind people see and a legless man walk again, then his faux conservative show will FAIL.

Regarding stations that carry Rush; maybe someone on FR could help me out. When we go to OCMD I have trouble getting a strong station carrying Rush. Sometimes WCBM 680 Baltimore comes in, but mostly it doesn’t. For several years I hung onto a station somewhere in NJ at 1410. A few weeks ago when down there and Noon rolled around....no Rush....they had some bland-sounding dweeb talking about recipes or something. I found another station at 1230 if memory serves, but the next day Rush was not on...there was a ball game on instead. WABC 770 from NYC fades in and out. Is there a good station maybe out of Virginia that would come across the Chesapeake with a strong signal? Thanks for any guidance anyone may have.

The Huckster’s just mad cause he can’t cut loose any more murderers from prisions to prey upon the public. Killing and endangering innocent people was his ‘ministry.’

wish Fox would give him a very long vacation...if not then I'll take a long vacation from FOX, which I have some what, at one time I was a Fox addict watching nothing else...but I've gotten over my addiction and only now watch certain shows. and Huck is not one of them....

Mike, I’m embarrassed to admit you’re from the same state as my mom. And Bill Clinton is probably embarrassed that you’re from the same town as he is. And considering what he hasn’t been embarrassed by, that’s saying something.

He was supposed to interview Col. Lakin tonight. Did it happen or did Fox cancel?

Huckabee’s nickname in Arkansas is Tax Hike Mike. He never saw a tax he didn’t like, or an illegal he didn’t want to hire. When he was governor there were signs in the state that welcomed illegals.

This is just a half of a step away from Janeane Garofalo's "This is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up."

This was from April 16th, 2009. The day after the nationwide Taxed Enough Already protests that were the first coordinated, national launch for the Tea Party. I believe this was the first time sliming of the Tea Party as racist. It spread from Garofalo almost to Huckabee.

What does Huckabee mean by "toxic atmosphere"? That can easily be made into confirmation that conservatives are racist.

Just as former President Bush called oppenents to his idiotic "comprehensive immigration reform" plan as "nativists and bigots", this is confirmation by prominent people on the right that conservatives/tea party folks are racists.

Huck, do you really want to be on the same page as Janeane Garofalo? Is that going to be a successful plan to gain listeners for your radio show? It didn't take Garofalo anywhere. It's hard to remember, but she was an Air America radio host. Hell, even lefties won't listen to that cr*p long.

I'll just say an early good-bye to your radio show. Because when the plug is pulled, no one will know, because no one listens.

Buh-Bye, Huck.
