If the Republicans could take the Senate and keep the House (which they will keep), then Obama could be left to take all the hits for the tremendous misery that is to come.

And I can tell you right now that the misery is going to be in the form of really nasty inflation. Inflation is the only way for the US to technically honor its obligations in the future. Inflation will also bring lots of investment money off the sidelines as it tries to preserve its value, which means jobs for the new generation.

Meanwhile, the senior citizens who have parties these past decades will reap the whirlwind as they saunter off to the bank to cash their increasngly worthless social security checks (my generation, btw).

I'm much more concerned this time around about taking the Senate than the White Hut.
