Being a tax preparer, I’m surprised that you have met even ONE Obama supporter.
My office is in a conservative part of North Dallas. The Obama supporters are probably the clients with a huge refund because they have AGI $15000 - $25000 with at least 3 qualifying children under 17 and the Earned Income Credit.
On the other end of the spectrum, I have been surprised by the number of clients with wage income > $60,000 and no interest/investment income.
