4 men charged with jumping out of limo, attacking group in Lakeview

Four men are accused of bailing out of a white stretch limousine and punching three people, breaking one man's jaw, in the Lakeview neighborhood as someone with the attackers recorded the beating, authorities said this morning.

Neither the police nor the media gave racial info on the victims and the police will not give a possible motive for the attack.

If this remains the same, we can draw a conclusion from past experience and the US Census data of the area where the 1:30 AM mob attack occurred.

Going to the Census link above, and pointing to any area of the map shows detailed racial information for small areas (tracts) of the map. The racial data for the four Census tracts (616, 617, 621 & 622) enclosed by W Addison on the north, W Belmont on the south, N Halsted on the east & N Racine on the west are as follows:

Looks like we will not be hearing about this attack from Sharpton, Jackson, Holder and company.

The assailants were not from the Lakeview neighborhood--that's just where the attack occurred. They were from the Lawndale neighborhood. Different part of town, different demographics.

The shocking thing here, of course, is that these four young men were turning their lives around and were such positive role models for the community:

Nichols said her son was trying to overcome his troubled past to become a role model and mentor in his Lawndale community. "For this to happen, it starts (the trouble) all over again. It's very disheartening."

"My son was making great strides in his career," she said.

Nichols said there were many men involved in the fight. But the four West Side men are the only ones facing severe charges.

"It was just a brawl," she said. "But they were the only ones arrested. It's so unfair.

"These young men were trying to make a change in their lives. They had difficulties in their pasts. This situation is unbelievable. They did not go out there for this particular incident to happen. They were there doing something positive for themselves."

Pat Herred, a longtime neighbor and friend to the four, said the men had been working recently to improve the community. Edward Robinson was working with the Lawndale Christian Legal Center counseling other young men.

"They were promoting positivity in the neighborhood," she said. "They have been working hard to get their lives back on track. We've had a lot of episodes with our Lawndale youth. These men were working hard to do the right thing."

From the very beginning, the Police released and the media published photos of the arrested attackers. We all knew they were Black. My post began with "Neither the police nor the media gave racial info on the victims."

Reread my post with that in mind. Now I can add from another article nbcchicago.com the following recent development:

"Police said there was no indication this was a racially motivated attack, but detectives said they are looking into all possibilities."

This confirms the conclusions of my post that the demographics of the area of this Black mob attack was not Black and it was unlikely that the victims of this attack were Black. And that the attack was another Black on White/Asian/"White-Hispanic" race attack.
