0bama will never get this treaty thru the Senate, not even in a lame duck session. Let him come out in support of this Tyrannical crap if he wants to, because he will be hammered for it electorally...

Who said anything about a 3rd party candidate appearing at all? I certainly don't think that. I am just unwilling to "hold my nose and vote" again; I will instead vote with my conscience and if that "makes my vote useless" then so be it: though that is an indictment on the American system itself, if voting for one's conscience is useless.

As a strategy, this is so stupid. You vote the lesser of two evils. And you continue to struggle. You never get the opportunity to vote non evil candidate. If you think you can collapse the evil system by letting it go evil to the maximum, you are deluded.

Could Egypt get worse? It did. Can Syria get worse? It will. did France get better? Nope. Sit on your hands and Obama wins, the pit we are in just gets deeper. Is Romney going to return us to 1776. No. Can he make things better than what we have now. Yes.

It seems to me that you would rather see the ship go down than to stay afloat until we can get some conservatives in the Congress to plug the leaks—even if Romney is in the WH.

What does the presidential election have to do with the Congress? They're independent and discrete concepts. Further, I don't see Romney as the sort who will help us "stay afloat."

I was backing Bachman or Newt until they dropped out—then Santorum.
By the way, they now all endorse Romney. I guess they are just rinos too.

You said it, I didn't. Frankly, I don't give a crap about what they say anymore.

Who did you support for Pres???

Well, the Republican nomination hasn't yet been decided; if it's not Romney I'll vote it... if it is, then I'm voting for either Tom Hoefling, or Goode.

As for the Republican nomination; I would happily support Gary Johnson for President. {There are others too, but Johnson has the advantage of having been Governor of New Mexico when it was heavily Democrat -- Meaning he knows how to "play ball" on a disadvantage-court.}

I wouldn't mind Ron Paul as: head of the Fed or Sec of Treasury (heads would explode as he dug things up and made them public) or even VP (He'd be president of the Senate in that case, and I don't think he'd let that slide to the Pro Tempore; which I think is Reid).

No; I vote who I think will lead best.
Obama may be an empty suit; but Romney is a windsock-puppet.

You never get the opportunity to vote non evil candidate. If you think you can collapse the evil system by letting it go evil to the maximum, you are deluded.

Hm, where did you see that? I may never get a non-evil candidate; but let me ask this: is there an amount of evil that you would say is too evil?
If so, then why do you disparage me because I deem Romney to be past that limit?
If not, then continue voting for the lesser of two evils; finally you will get to Hitler vs Stalin.

Is Romney going to return us to 1776. No. Can he make things better than what we have now. Yes.

He might have that ability; however, I do not believe that he would do so even if he could.

Don't be so sure; it's 2/3drs of the Senators present.

You're right, but I'm sure the GOP wouldn't slip up that bad...

I don't know about that. The GOP seems dam set on snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. (McCain in 2008, Romney in 2012...)
Then there's the "gee golly, we can't do that" --* while kicking a stone*-- act they give when they don't pursue their stated objectives like abortion (not even a token vote or resolution when the Legislative and Executive were theirs), or limited government (from whence came the TSA, the Patriot Act, TARP, the airline bailouts?), or government accountability (look at how lame they've been on Fast & Furious; that is serious stuff: domestic lawbreaking, treaty breaking, unauthorized acts of war, conspiracy, sedition, treason, state sponsored terrorism).

Yeah. The GOP doesn't seem interested in giving reasons to trust them.

The Second Amendment is meaningless if we havn’t the courage to exercise it. I see no evidence of that courage in America today.

Just look around here on FR. There is quite the schism on the Right and a great many who say steadfastly that they will never vote for Romney. Thereby handing Obama his second term.

And, these are all fine folks who are either single issue voters or don't see and fear the true destruction of our fragile Republic if Mister Obama gets a second term.

I fear very strongly that in an Obama second term, there would be no Rush or FR and our Military would be reduced to near nothing. Willard, for all his faults, is the far, far better alternative.

This isn’t Germany in 1923. It’ll never happen in this country but I would love to see him try to seize dictatorial power through some kind of scheme like that. It’s exactly what we need him to try in fact.

You couldn’t be more wrong.

No military even our own would consider going against an armed civilian force such as we have in the US today.

Speak for yourself; only 3% of the colonists actually took up arms. 1/3 remained loyal to the crown; 1/3 supported Independence, but didn't do much; and 1/3 remained indifferent.

Well my ancestors were among the 3%, seven of them fought in the Revolutionary War.

“This isn’t Germany in 1923. It’ll never happen in this country”

It was in 1933 and that was exactly what the Germans said. People dismissed the Communists in Russia prior to the 1917 revolutions. We now have more than 50% in this country getting a government check and less than 50% paying those checks. It is a smaller step to communism than in those prior historical events.

Taking from lawful citizens the right and ability to protect themselves and their homes is the natural first step in collapsing our country.

When citizens can no longer protect themselves, Obama's hoodies will overwhelm the police with flash mobs and...voila...martial law is necessary to "protect" us all.

Then Obama will announce that elections must be postponed until such time as he can stabilize the country and return control to the people.;-)

Buh bye, America!

And if Obama thinks the lawful citizens are going to stand still for that line of crap, I have an old bridge to sell him on Adams St and Brooklyn Bridge Blvd.
