In the interest of keeping things even-handed, will Obama appear before the Ku Klux Klan?

“Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Cleaver said Romney should not have criticized President Obama in front of a black audience...”

So Obama should not criticize Romney in front of a white audience?

Despite this effort I would expect 96% of the blacks who turn out to vote for Obama in November. In about 50 years, when back leaders look back on this behavior, this lock-step allegiance to the Democratic Party, they will realize what a foolish thing it was. If they only voted even 55-45, they would get much more meaningful response from their government. The Hispanic voting block will have completely eaten their lunch by that time. Save a chapter in “Greatest Ongoing Political Blunders in History” for this blind commitment.

...those who graduate from high school, get a full-time job, and wait until 21 before they marry and then have their first child, the probability of being poor is two percent. And if those factors are absent, the probability of being poor is 76 percent...

I love the statement. It reaches the audience; and, it's the polar opposite from what they hear from Mister Obama, "black leaders", and the Dems.

And, it's an easy connection of dots to realize that (sadly) the Dems seem to want to keep black folks on a "poverty plantation".

The only thing I have taken away from Romney going to the NAACP is that the only person that came off as an adult was Romney.

I have NEVER been a big Romney fan and at first I thought that what he was doing by speaking in front of these people was a mistake. I was wrong about that. Romney pulled no punches and on top of that he was able to make some of these people show their true colors. Yea, pun intended.

At the end of the day the president is the president of everyone. Obama or whatever that fakes real name is does not care about that. The only thing I can see that he cares about is destroying this country. At least Romney is not out to trash America.

Romney’s stock went up a lot today in my book! My view is that he outsmarted the racists.

As expected the MSM plays up the negative.

AP Headline at my Yahoo email page:

“Romney says he ‘expected’ NAACP boos”

Excerpt of article at Yahoo email page:

“Mitt Romney says he wasn’t surprised by the negative response to his speech Wednesday before the NAACP convention in Texas. “I think we expected that,” the Republican nominee tells Fox Business Network’s Neil Cavuto in an interview to air Wednesday night. Romney was booed by NAACP audience several times, including when he repeated his pledge [...]”

I believe (pray and hope) the words he spoke will resonate through the community.

Because I believe he has Obamanation on his heels, now more than ever is time for Mitts to make several stops into the inner city. Even if at the end of the day, 96 percent vote Obama, it will have a lasting effect, specially if Mitts were to win the Presidency.

Leaders lead, visionaries go where others run from. I believe the black community, as all humans do, desire something better and opportunity and a belief system that their really is hope.

Without question, now is the time to reach out to the churche leaders. They are open to Mitts message. It is not a waste of time nor resources.

It’s ironic that the party of slavery and segregation, the Democrats, depend on black people to get elected.

I watched the speech. The only fault I have with it, was that he should have called it the "healthcare legislation", and not ObamaCare, it just works better.

Even with that, I'm sorry, those weren't boos, those were "no's" and dissapointed jeers. As a sports fan, I know what real boos are.

Not bad except for this:

““If equal opportunity in America were an accomplished fact, black families could send their sons and daughters to public schools that truly offer the hope of a better life. Instead, for generations, the African-American community has been waiting and waiting for that promise to be kept.”

This is nothing but an excuse. I went to the poorest schools that can be imagined. Some were downright laughable. We learned though because we were expected to learn and had good parents who helped us.

The schools these black children go to are crummy because the parents are crummy. The children don’t learn because they aren’t sent and expected to learn and to behave. Instead they act like and are thugs. Their failure is their own fault. It has been a choice made without serious enough consequences.

We have spent trillions and given every advantage and preference possible and still they do poorly as a whole. Romney just supported their excuses for failure, poverty, thuggery and dependence.

The answer to the problem is not more money or more opportunity. The answer is to see failures that put the fear of God in them not to fail.
