Today NRA Vice President Wayne LaPierre addressed the United Nations as the debate about the Arms Trade Treaty, or the "Small Arms Treaty," continues in New York City. The treaty is written to make it seem as though only arms transferred by governments will be affected but the details of the language seem to show the treaty applies to civilian firearms. The treaty has been classified as an international effort to attack the Second Amendment in the United States Constitution.
"I am hear to announce the NRA's strong opposition to anti-freedom policies that disregard American citizens' right to self defense. No foreign entity has jurisdiction over the freedoms our Founding Fathers guaranteed to us."

The founding fathers didn't guarantee anything. They recognized pre-existing rights that came from GOD.
The Zero regime does whatever it wants at whim, they have no shame hiding Fast and Furious scandal, so they’ll surely sign this. Yes, do it. Be that stupid. I think LaPierre is okay ..... it's clear to me he intended it to mean "civilian ownership" of firearms, not ownership of civilian firearms, which btw are damn near impossible to define, and nobody on either side of the debate has even tried. Such anti-gun legislation as has been tried on by Canada, the UK, Australia, and the Clinton Regime has always had to address specific characteristics of firearms they deem objectionable, or list models they deem objectionable; because there is no generally understood characteristic of a "civilian" firearm.
The Rehnquist Court bitch-slapped Oregon for pulling that with a man's coastal property that he wanted to build on. They threw "environmental" regulations on him that forbade his use of the property, he sued, and SCOTUS crushed the Green goons.

With all due respect (and in general, I do respect your posts), you don't know what you're talking about here. Treaties on the books now so wildly exceed Constitutionally enumerated powers that this point isn't even worth entertaining.

If you think the Brady bill wasn't gun owner registration, I've got news for you. If you really believe that the Federal government doesn't have every name on those lists somewhere... well you're a lot more callow than I thought you were. I don't trust the NRA.

I’ve never fired a real rifle, but I do remember that I learned that lesson in a videos game years ago(delta force). I routinely went with single fire for better control. Far better results. Full fun auto isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

If passed American LEO’s at all levels will enforce it and this will be the point where American law enforcement at all levels would have to decide are they going to disobey orders or as the nazi underlings at Nuremburg all pleaded, “I was just following orders and doing my job...”.

Perhaps for a 50 cal machine gun with an unlimited supply of full ammo belts full auto has a place in mowing down a hoard of onslaughting zombies. But for most of us, semi-auto makes each round count, conserving ammo, and is sufficient for most any potential encounter.
As for weapons, an AR-15 and an AK-47 would be nice armament additions to round out an otherwise sound collection.

Agreed, and I do not trust the info that FFL dealers have to collect, either...also a hesitation I have with CCW...either likely paint a GPS target on your home.
