Authorities interviewed several passengers on the Spain-bound Delta flight, including an Argentinian woman and a Pakistani-American. Two suspicious wires found in one of the plane’s bathrooms could have linked a battery and an explosive.
Investigators have not ruled out the possibility someone was putting together an explosive device when wires were found about a Spain-bound Delta flight, forcing an emergency landing, a law enforcement official said Friday.

They also interviewed a Pakistani-born passenger who was believed to be the last person in the bathroom.
A U.S. citizen for 11 years, he denied any knowledge of the wires and was let go.

A couple of wires on the floor and the Government uses it to pump up fear, and justify the existence of the massive Federal Gestapo that is dedicated to one thing: taking away our freedom. This has nothing to do with aircraft safety or national security.
Probably one of the cheapest terrorist attacks to date. Caused the plane to turn around, be thoroughly searched, delayed and inconvenienced all the passengers, and zeroed out any credibility of the TSA. And some relatives and others wonder why I don’t fly.
I would assume everyone was searched before they were allowed off the plane or at least allowed to go on their way. No explosives, no bomb. Easy as that. A couple of wires does not make a bomb.

Beautiful; this really has potential. So simple yet so effective. And it costs a whole lot less time, money, and aggravation too.

My guess is that some woman wearing an underwire bra got fed up with it riding up on her during long flights and ripped it out but missed the trash can in the bathroom.
The Pakistani-born passenger couldn’t have done it. Paks don’t use bathrooms. Even if they did, just check their left hand to see if it stinks. If it does, then they did use the toilet. That would be a surprise. (You’ve got to know what our soldiers learned in Iraq and Afghanistan about the lack of toilet paper in those countries).
No, not all Pakistanis are primitives. Many are fine people but it only takes one to blow up a plane.

If somebody was out to murder a few hundred people on a plane do you think they would balk at eating pork?
They are doing Allah’s will. Allah will understand you having bacon on your breath, surely he would.
