SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Quentin Tarantino is redefining race relations in the pre-Civil War South with "Django Unchained," his Western-style saga that he previewed at the Comic-Con fan convention.

Tarantino said Saturday that he has been wanting to do a Western for ages and that the idea for "Django Unchained" first came to him 13 years ago.

I never thought that Henry Fonda could have played such a cold hearted killer as he did in Once Upon a Time in The West. The whole cast from the beginning to the end was outstanding. I do love spaghetti westerns.

Kill Bill 1 and 2 were narcissistic junk, but I loved Inglorious Basterds.

Same here.

I had similar experiences in 1973 during my hitch in the USMC

The body count in RD was 11 so some of that hysterical screaming was done at 800+ feet per second.

I don’t know about that. Do we actually know that Mr. White kills Mr. Orange? It also doesn’t list “Nice Guy” Eddie killing the cop that Mr. Blonde was torturing.

Just what this country needs...More anti-white propaganda. Hopefully Obama and crew have some cameos.

Does this have anything to do with Bob Dylan’s “Mr. Tambourine Man” and “djingo django morning”?

No, but given that it's Tarantino there will be some great music from the 60's and 70's.

I'm predicting "Western Union" by the Five Americans as the slaveholder playfully coils and uncoils his whip just before lashing the slave/hero in a overly violent scene.

Well, either "Western Union" or "Which Way You Going, Billy?"

I guess my mind was not the only one that thought of Helter Skelter.
