On Palin & her potential lack of an invitation to the GOP convention (Palin would scare moderates)

Yesterday morning Ed tagged a Newsweek article that tried to make hay out of the fact that Palin may not receive an invitation to speak at the GOP convention. Ed pointed out that this may not actually be a big deal, both to Palin and the grassroots, and I agree with comments made below the post by RBJ and Skwor that its likely just Newsweek trying to create controversy out of nothing substantive.
However, this is where RBJ, Skwor and a great deal of the Hot Air viewership and I may split our views. While I am not a fan of Mitt Romneys candidacy, and think he is far too moderate in almost every way, I am not disappointed that Palin may not speak at the convention. In fact, Im quite pleased.

However, I think the negatives of such an appearance outweigh the net positives for those whose sole electoral goal is to get Obama out of office including potentially scaring off moderate voters who are open to voting for Romney and giving the liberal media the opportunity to attach Romney to the largely unpopular Palin.

Palin is supportive of Allen West or any true aggressive conservative for that matter!
If she is offensive to the “moderates” then they need to be purged out of the GOP as they have already corrupt it to some extent!
The conversative group is quite large, and they risk offending them by not inviting her thus losing those votes they need.
Mitt better wake up and scotch those rumors (if that’s all they are!). He has too much to lose by offending the very conservatives!

"Moderate" Dustin is part of the problem if he doesn't understand why the snub is a big deal to us Conservatives, who have no motivation whatsoever to support or even work for Romney's election.
He must be drinking some of the same juice that Allah-putz has been drinking these past few years.

Ignorant kid with a BA in business from a fourth-tier college.
And anyone is reading his opinion on how knowledgeable Palin is for what reason?
Hot Air can do better than this unless they’re just taking any and all Palin-bashers they can find.

I am soooooo tired of these moderates. I think I dislike them more than the liberals.

The candid words of one of these "moderates" we're supposed to compromise with. (speaking on the race to fill Thad McCotter's seat. McCotter was just one more example of conservatives compromising)
"I and a lot of Republicans I know won't vote for a tea party guy," said attorney David Zacks of Bloomfield Hills, strolling past the expensive boutique shops of downtown Birmingham with his son during a recent lunch hour.
Moderates are scum and need to be told to take a hike and be the degenerate democrats they really are. They have no intent of ever compromising with conservatives.

So called moderates need to be catered to for votes? Those are not republicans or conservatives, I call them Democrats.

they can get enough squishies from the middle to make up for the Religious Right they can get enough squishies from the middle to make up for the PATRIOTS/Pro Constitution!!

Virtually every “moderate” in office is a result of conservatives compromising while moderate voters laugh at us and refuse to compromise and vote for conservatives.
They should be driven from the party with bullwhips.

Romney is NOT a Rino - he is for socialism/liberalism
Show us his accomplishments in MA and tell us where is the republican platform.
Same Sex marriage/end to traditional marriage - 1st state in country.
Gun grabbing
Hugh tax/fee increase
Socialistic healthcare - 1st state in country
Pro baby killing
Majority of liberal appointments
47th in country in employment
What is even AMERICA about that and initiated in the land where the pilgrims landed. Romney sure was on the fast track to bring his filth to MA and now to America!

Hell, I'm encouraging it and even thinking about making some T-shirts to advertize the fact that moderates are scum and that if they had any stones they would try moderating the party that isn't already in a coma.
Either that, or the GOP is going to have to hike up their big girl panties and officially and openly declare that they don't want conservatives.
Hear that moderate lurkers? You're nothing but toilet bowl scrapins who haven't managed to make it to the democrat septic tank yet. Now lets quit screwin around and git er done.

Can the party afford to lose loyalists? Loyal to a party that deceives is being loyal to bondage.
Can the party afford to lose PATRIOTS - the backbone of America?

The republicans and democrats are slaves of neighboring plantations shouting back and forth over a shared fence. They only stop long enough to chuck rocks at freedmen passing on the road.

I’m not even one of Palin’s biggest fans and she’s still the only reason I voted for McCain.
