Before I would let any politician looking for reelection votes push some kind of gay centric event/policy I would demand that he show historical success stories to justify his bid for reelection votes.

Then I would get a sworn statement that if the gay centric event/policy failed to generate the advertised income he would resign from politics and never run again.
