I have to differ with you, napscoordinator and the other people on here who say that doesn’t matter.

It DOES matter. The problem is, we may take the “high road” and make a distinction between the person, the act, and political persuasion, but I guarantee you, THEY will not.

Not only will they link the person, the act, and the political leanings of the perpetrator together, they will unfailingly do it to the detriment of anything to the right of Nancy Pelosi, REGARDLESS of the facts.

We saw it already, if accounts are to be believed. A major news outlet already tied the perpetrator to the right.

Even if they came out ten minutes later and said they were mistaken, it is the equivalent of an above the fold banner on the New York Times followed by a one sentence retraction (if even that) on page 9, buried in the classifieds.

And you know, no matter what, there will be a majority of liberals who will screw their foreheads in puzzlement when presented with the truth, who will mutter (and still believe it in their hearts) “Well, they said the guy was a Tea Party disciple on the news...that was all I ever heard...”

A lie travels around the world before the truth gets its trousers on.

As for the people who claim there are nuts on both sides of the political spectrum, I cannot disagree with that, but the right cannot hold a candle to the left when when it comes to violence. And that is a fact.

The reason I think it is important, is because we are in a fight for our country, and I believe we are losing. We are losing on every front. Conservatives are holding their fingers in the dikes on one side, and on the other side is a vast body of water composed of committed liberals, good hearted but misguided people, and people who don’t give a damn and go along with all the rest.

That body of people provides a persistent, relentless, erosive and destructive pressure on the other side of the dike. We have to be vigilant and ready to fight 24 x 7. One lapse, and socialized healthcare starts leaking through. Fall asleep for a second, and homosexuals in the military are authorized to march in uniforms in homosexual parades. Look away for an instant, and the Law of the Sea treaty passes.

They don’t have to be on guard. They can sleep, go on vacation and enjoy themselves. When they return to apply more hydraulic pressure on the dike, it is as if they never left. It is a one-way ratchet in the wrong direction.

I don’t think we can afford to cede ground to them, because we don’t get it back. Everything so far that has been lost, stays lost and ruined.

I believe that we have to recognize that they don’t observe any rules, except one: Any means are justified by the end.

To the Left, that is a blanket rule the overrules every single other rule. Concepts, guidelines and rules of government, morality, religion and decency all are subjugated to the end, and rationalized by the left. How many times have you heard leftists use the quote (from Robespierre or Stalin depending on whom you belive) “You can’t make an omlette without breaking a few eggs.”? The possibility that it could be either Stalin or Robespierre wouldn’t faze liberals a bit. In their minds, the omlette is tyranny, and the eggs are anything that stands in their way.

I admit, I am conflicted. I cannot bring myself to play by their rules, and am not going to just have a knee jerk reflex that says it was a liberal that did this, simply because they said it was a conservative.

But, I am not yet willing to surrender the field to them on matters like this. We don’t have to engage in falsehoods. But we should be willing to speak the truth.

I'd add:

"And driven by a small group of extremely hard core, aggressive, and "never give up" Marxist atheist revolutionaries allied with black racists. Muslims and perverts."
