I wonder if it has dawned on them that this didnt protect these people? Is the town culpable in this because they failed to protect these people because of this ordinance?
Of course that hasn't dawned on them. Liberals are superior, and accept no blame, hence this could not possibly be the result of their policies. Just like NYC, the blame will be placed on other jurisdictions that aren't as *enlightened* as Aurora and still have "lax gun laws" resulting in a "river of iron" flowing into their otherwise pristine utopia.
You are incorrect. The State Law trumps local law. While the theater can post “No Guns Allowed” legally, the town cannot make gun laws that supercede the state.
