How do you keep the sand out of your lungs when you bury your head in the sand..just wondering.

Old Airborne Guy...my husband and father were both 2nd armored division. Did you do your basic here at Ft Sam?
My father first signed up with Army after Pearl Harbor. Served overseas. When that tour was done, he signed up with Army Air Corps. After his death, my mother gave my husband my father’s old tool box. In the bottom, he found an Army Air Corps ring. Husband wears it oft times. They were great pals.
