A lot of people want these tragedies to stop happening -- but the only way this stuff will ever really stop happening is if society is turned into a prison, and anyone who "might be different" is moved into solitary confinement.

Liberty means dealing with the imperfectness of human nature. If you give up freedom in order to acquire security, you will end up with neither freedom nor security.
