So no one is releasing the name of the “person of interest”. They must not have found any links from this person to the Tea Party. Surprised the press didn’t just pick a name.

OK lets go further, If I, or you start buying body armor, online. The good stuff which is now watched closely thanks to the California bank robbers- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsOWSDtxERU. Not to mention ammo purchase’s far in excess of what regulations allow, all online. How did the FBI have no clue? He walked through all their screens without a question. Sorry, you can try to sell me bull crap, call it paint that smells, I’m not buying. Something smell really bad here! Also a week before the UN vote on the small arms treaty!
Something is really wrong here.

How does a broke college student get 15k to 20k worth of stuff? Bad smelling fishy, where did the money come from?????

I am thinking the same thing. could be many factors there. Perhaps the parents floated him a loan? Who knows.

What I want to know is where did the kid get tear gas? Explosives? Body Armor? You can't mail order this stuff. I know by looking at bullet proof vests for the hell of it a couple months ago. These are listed as "Law Enforcement Only" items. I don't put on the tin foil hat often but are we looking at Fast and Furious II? ( UN gun vote coming up.) I will really wonder if Obama and the Media go full retard on gun control next week. (Trot out the victims, etc.)

Just a thought…..is it possible JH bought the ticket, walked out the back door, and his room mate, already fully dressed, walked in, committed the crime, then fled the scene. When the cops arrive JH surrenders, gives up the back at home Intel “possibility of explosives”, and is assumed to be a lone gunman, so the person who actually committed the shootings gets away Scot free? Who in the theatre can Identify the shooter if he was fully encased in gear, no one actually saw his face right? If he had a room mate as reported, might this have been the course of events?

If true, this becomes even more reminiscent of the Columbine tragedy. Was this second guy suspected of participating in the shootings and then fleeing the scene in all the chaos?

He’s an unusual looking guy, too, very westernized, has a Justin Bieber bowlcut, but despite the apparent unseriousness of his appearance he’s already widely published in his field, looks about twelve but born in I believe 1982.

Wonder if he’s an NIH grant recipient as well?

There’s a headline that says that on Drudge, but if you read the actual quote from the eyewitness, it doesn’t say that.

Not at all.

UPDATE:

According to KMGH, the person of interest was questioned tonight in connection with sending a text message. NOT a suspect in shootings.

I keep wondering where he attained the knowledge for making the bombs and booby traps in the apartment- and where an unemployed student got the money for this and all the guns and ammunition.

All of the above can be purchased online without ID.

I was not aware that the body armor is “Law enforcement only”, I new it was highly regulated, due to a couple of bank robbers in California. The fact that it is only sold to law enforcement officials, opens this up to obvious corruption even more.

I was working that night. As soon as there was word of a shooting I put Aurora police/ emergency on the internet scanner. The link was also posted on a FR thread. My thread was a few minutes behind others because I was getting the scanner running.

There was POSITIVELY an exchange that mentioned one suspect in custody, a second person - described as a floor cleaner- being held at gunpoint. There was a strange request for other officers to assist in holding...the wording was sit with..the floor cleaner. In the meantime other police traffic indicated a frantic search on for yet another perp.

There was a problem with the parking lot lights going out, probably on a timer, and officers were told that if the woman manager didn’t know how to get them on to pretty dang fast get someone there who did.

Some of the LEO’s involved in the exchange were at Alameda and Sable(? It was garbled) which I gathered was a little bit away from the scene. However that seems to have been where a search was underway and a perimiter was set up.

My point is the LEO’s absolutely mentioned a second person being detained and a search underway for another.

Wow! Guess I didn’t look deep enough. All the body armor I found via searches was for law enforcement sales. Like I said, wasn’t really serious about buying any, just surfing around.

There are no federal laws on body armor

Some vendors require law enforcement ID for body armor, many do not.

The Aurora cops did a commendable job in this situation. I’ve listened to the scanner audio with timecode and they were on the scene very quickly, caught the guy and were in the auditorium in minutes.

They clearly learned the lessons of Columbine and it paid off in a surprisingly low number of fatalities given the weapons and the number of victims. The quick aid rendered to the victims was crucial to the high survival rate.

Body armor is easily available. There are thousands of pieces of it available on eBay right now.

There are typos, and I make more of them than all of you, for sure. This is not one of them:

It is: They Are or They’re but not their

Just damn

Could we Americans simply get our language straight in order to carry on?
