While I agree that ABC is scummy in its reporting, how do we know the mother risn’t changing her story on advice from her or her son’s attorney?
I don’t believe she’s changing her story simply for the fact that saying they have the right person just doesn’t make sense. Was she shown a photo of the shooter? How could she identify him over the phone? how? Ya think she’d recognize him with red hair?
Do you think she would be sleeping soundly knowing her son was planning to kill people that night?
I just read an extremely relative book to this situation. Great fictional novel by Jodi Piccoult, “Nineteen Minutes.”. Definitely worth it.
For a lawyer—an officer of the court—to suborn perjury could get such lawyer disbarred in a hurry. I doubt s/he would take such a risk “right out of the gate”.
