If it proves to be a HOAX (likely), the gay community will gather around her and say something like ‘see how desperate our sister has become. Society looks down on us, does not accept our rights to be who we are, and so full of prejudice, she had no choice.

I know: They have all their bases covered. It is infuriating.
On the bright side, she will still be in deep legal trouble, and those not part of the “rainbow movement” will view her as one more Tawana Brawley type huckster.
These hoaxes have been piling up, and I think the cops are viewing these attacks with suspicion. If it ha all the earmarks of a real hate attack, then good for her for reporting it. But we all know there are too many red flags here to just be coincidence.
