Thank you very much, BIGLOOK!!
I had been a regular poster on Prodigy’s news boards for a few years starting in the early ‘90s. Did a little surfing on the Internet during that time, but nothing serious. John had been encouraging me to get involved on the internet for several years, but that was before the modern browser was introduced. The browser made it possible for non-computer geeks to use the net. Our company purchased a fledgling Internet Service Provider in ‘95, so I got a chance to learn the internet business from the inside out. I finally decided to get serious about a conservative news site a few months prior to Clinton’s re-election campaign and so launched FR on Sept 23, 1996. By the way, John had been running his own BBS from his bedroom on a Commodore (toy computer) since he was 14. That was in ‘88. He later upgraded to a Mac and finally to PC. It’s in the blood.
WOW! God bless your little young John, huh? (And of course John, the man today). Teenage computer genius, all from a toy Commodore! Ya never know.
Oops, ‘88 was an error. It was ‘86 when he started his BBS at 14. He was 16 in ‘88 and that’s the year we hired him at our new Software Solutions Company as a programmer.
I didn't notice when we met that your nose was brown.
Bob
Just teasing buddy. I considered pinging our MI list to this, but I guess it's not really Military Intel.
