I enjoyed the first DVD. Glad to know the rest of it is finally coming out.
It’s mesmerizing.
I tried to organize a John Galt reunion but everyone disappeared.
Thank you for the ping.
... and audiences shrugged. They said last time around they would only do a sequel “if reaction to the first film justified it”. Apparently not. They lost millions but they won’t give up and will just keep pushing their kool-aid that that the Paulbot’s idol Ayn Rand = “Tea Party” role model
On the plus side, Ayn can rest well in her grave knowing the free market works and audiences “Went Galt” when it came to an adaptation of her snoozefest books:
Atlas Shrugged: Part I
Budget $20 million
Box office $4,627,375
VS.
The Passion of the Christ
Budget $30 million
Box office $611,899,420
2016: Obama’s America
Budget $2.5 million
Box office $32,022,601
The only problem is the supply and demand theory. People are voting with their wallets. We DON’T want Rand but they supply it anyway!
Atlas Shrugged: Part I
Budget $20 million
Box office $4,627,375
Yeah. Only a net loss of $15 million. "Bump in the road", as Obama might say. Leonard Part 6 had similar box office numbers.
“I watched Atlas Part 1 on Netflix streaming, a few months ago, it is still available steaming.”
Me too. It was good.
Ha!
