Bob Beckels (stooge on Hannity show), conservative brother played the oil king and he was really great. I hope whoever replaces him is at least half as good.

Atlas Shrugged devotees were not happy with casting an older overweight guy as Ellis Wyatt, who Rand describes in the book as a tall, fit, and handsome. All of the Rand protagonists are physically fit and attractive. That said, after watching the first Atlas Shrugged movie a couple of times I became very fond of Graham Beckel's portrayal of Wyatt.

Sorry about the poor quality of the picture. It was taken in a hurry on a cell phone in a very busy workplace and I would never ask for a do over. Jonathan Hoenig is a very good sport and a classy guy. Grover Norquist plays a bum in the movie. Lots of well known conservatives were on the set.

I thought the woman playing Taggart and the man playing Reardon did okay, but I didn't like Wyatt's casting. Over the years, as I have seen one actor or another, some just bring to mind my visualization of the characters in Atlas Shrugged":

DISCLAIMER: I know that some of these people are too old, or are not conservatives, etc, but as it said, it was one point in time...

Dagny Taggart:

Hank Reardon:

Francisco d'Anconia :

Ellis Wyatt :

Jim Taggart :

Ragnar Danneskjöld :
