A real Conservative does not suggest someone stop posting if they don’t like the direction this forum is going. A real Conservative appreciates the First Amendment. Your post to Jim Scott sounded a lot like Rahm Emmanuel suggesting that Chick-Fil-A avoid Chicago because he doesn’t like their values. If that’s what real Conservative’s do, then the meaning has changed very drastically.
Debate Mr. Scott on the merits of his argument, but never suggest that someone stop posting and move on...that’s DU territory, that’s Rahm Emmanuel.

By the way, FR is a pro-God, pro-life, pro-small government grassroots conservative site. We are not a liberal debating society. We already know where we stand on the issues and our conservative principles are non-negotiable and not subject to compromise, not subject to debate. You’re either a conservative or you are not. Jim Robinson owns this forum, it is not a public forum. He determines what can or cannot be said here, and more or less the direction of the forum. The “First Ammendment” doesn’t apply. A real conservative “respects” private property. On private property, the first ammendment doesn’t apply. IF I own that property and I don’t like want you say, I can lawfully and rightfully tell you to go elsewhere. So, son, get a clue. Jim Robinson has called FR the home of the resistance.
Romney is scum - his record is clear. Jim Robinson has more directly addressed that than I can or will attempt. He has been crystal clear that there is “no lesser of two evils” in comparing Obama & Romney.
Jim Robinson has created a truce, as I understand it, to allow ABO views to be expressed. However, I do not believe that truce extends to pro-Romney posts (no matter how much the poster disclaims it is “reluctant”). Of course, that is for Jim Robinson to determine - not me.
Now for my opinion. I don’t believe that persons that can’t get on board with “no Obama or Romney” stop disrupting things here by posting anything remotely pro-Romney. Blast Obama please, but stay away from promoting Romney as a viable alternative. Saying you fear Obama having four more years and you therefore will hold your nose and vote for Romney is one thing, but basically saying, “he wasn’t my choice but Romney is OK” is entirely different. That, IMO, goes beyond a truce with a pure ABO position to bordering on being a de facto Romneybot (disclaimers notwithstanding).
Romney support has no place on FR....IF I am understanding Jim Robinson correctly.
BTW.. Freedom of Speech applies to public places (government ran).. not PRIVATE areas (like privately owned websites).
