To be clear, the “gun show loophole” has nothing to do with gun shows. If you are an FFL holder/dealer at a gun show, you still have to do background checks.
The “loop hole” is the ability to make private sales, inheritance or gifts of your personal guns without paying an FFL to to a transfer with a background check. It matters not whether you are at a gun show or in your living room.
If truthful, the Left would call it the “personal property loophole”, but that wouldn’t sell well.

It should also be noted that most --if not all-- tables at gun shows are usually sponsored by FFL holders so there are very limited opportunities to buy a gun at a gunshow without a background check.
