I’m in constant amazement that Liberals keep thinking they can change everything by passing a law. Looking back everything they attempted to change that way has backfired. A perfect example is, “The War on Drugs”, how has that worked out. Jails are full, innocent people have died and drugs are as prevalent as ever if not more.

Nothing has "backfired". Every law they passed has expanded the size and scope of government power. That was their goal, and the stated reasons for these laws were lies...So mission accomplished.
This is why debating ideology with democrats is a waste of time. Their ideology is a ruse for their true motives.
