Now a days engineering grads will take what they can find. My son, who studies engineering at UT told me that not many of his fellow classmates managed to find internships this summer. He was fortunate because he is a dual national and summer jobs are easy to find in Norway.

The industry is suffering for what they did in the 80’s. All those folks they fired during mergers. No wonder if they are suffering now.

I have worked engineering in the oil/gas business for a couple decades. I am quite sure our side of engineering is doing very well.

What discipline is your son studying?
