Colo. governor (Hickenlooper) announces separation from his wife (remain 'close friends')

DENVER (AP) — Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and his wife are separating.

The governor and his wife, the writer Helen Thorpe, issued a joint statement Tuesday announcing the move. They say they remain close friends, spend time together as a family and sometimes attend social events together.

When we heard this on the news earlier, told my son: he is gay. He cried over the civil unions bill and forced state legislators into a special session to “debate it.” Repubs sent it to the death committee, never heard another thing about it.

I wasn’t being clear. Just pointing out the general vicinity of the location of the old med center to the uninitiated, not where I actually parked.
