Don’t look at me. I don’t live in that hell hole. I live in Iowa. We might be crazy but at least we aren’t stupid.
Simple: Our Federal tyrants robed the people of Illinois of their republican government in 1964 with the effective abolition of the State Senate which provided equal representation of the regions of Illinois in their Government.
As a result the City of Chicago took over the entire state, which they uses to dump their failed social projects on.
I feel for the people of Illinois their entire state has been hijacked by an abusive leftist mob thanks to Washington’s overthrow of their republican government.

Not that the Illinois equivalent of the second amendment really meant much more than placating words anyway:
“SECTION 22. RIGHT TO ARMS
