I don't think it was an outright attack since Cheney was simply answering a question and didn't voluntarily go on a rant like Rove or Rollins, BUT he thoughtlessly demonstrated the typical GOP-E mindset about her, and by extension TEA Party Conservatives.

I'm glad his daughter quickly set him right, but the damage was already done by that point.

True, but this does show the hypocrisy of GOPe types when they call for that “unity” , when it comes to backing Romney and their favored politicians. Loyalty seems to be a one-way street, judging from the way they are always blasting true conservatives while telling us we need to unite behind the chosen ones. They’re quick to stab conservatives in the back. We musn’t hurt their profits, but they can run right over our principles. They do it on a regular basis, especially in elections between a conservative and one of their picks.
