EquallyWed.com has proposed a National Starbucks Appreciation Day in direct response to the overwhelming national support at Chick-fil-A on Mike Huckabee’s Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day. Starbucks is on record for supporting marriage equality, and the LGBTQ community and its wonderful allies are ready to let its dollars speak for them on August 7, 2012 at Starbucks everywhere.

Straight guy, "Grande coffee, please."

I hate using those size words at Starbucks. I am a Small, Medium, Large type of guy.

I really feel gay asking for a Venti.

I drink my coffee black, and Starbucks over-roasts their coffee to stand up to the "triple five-pump vanilla, non-fat, no foam, whip cream, extra hot, extra carmel, upside down, carmel machiatto", IMHO.

I wasn’t aware that any conservative town was running a campaign to deny Starbucks entry.

Besides most lefties prefer to go to the independent coffee houses anyway. You think they are going to support a corporate brand?

“Venti” is Italian for “twenty,” as in 20-ounce coffee. Technically, Starbucks is giving you detailed serving-size information, but I’ll bet you that 90% of their customers couldn’t tell you what “venti” means.

You should feel like Eurotrash asking for a Venti. It’s probably the same feeling.

So what’s the overall population of Americans that are gay? Good luck with a gay appreciation day boosting your sales as the heteros will go to Duncan Donuts that day...

Whataburger has got to be the best burger in the world. Every time my son and I come back from offshore fishing in Destin, our first stop is Whataburger.

I did not know they were based in Corpus Christi, I have only seen them in Florida. Why no stores in Louisiana, Mississippi or Alabama?

I was mistaken (my first error of the century :-)) about their HQ. They were founded in Corpus Christi and still have a strong presence there but they moved to San Antonio in 2009.

Here's the story of Whatabuger. From that site you can locate their stores. Based upon a cursory check, they do have a number of locations in Alabama and Mississippi.

I don’t know if they still are, but Starbuks used to be very anti 2A....big signs around: “Gun Free Zone” or something to that effect..........Consequently, I never patronized them.

Depends on the state. SB corporate leaves it up to whatever local law is. Individual stores may have different policies based on local management, but there is no corporate policy one way or the other on that. I do think they've been known to support the brady bunch though. (not sure about that)

I'd be willing to bet some serious money that the press will play this up, and have extensive news coverage of a SB or two in san francisco, or some other fag friendly city. I'd also be willing to bet the support actually demonstrated out here in the nation at large will be a miniscule fraction of that generated by the attacks on CFA.

It was only one local franchise owner of Wendy’s that posted signs saying “We Stand with Chik Fil A”, not to direct people to eat there. It was down in one of the Carolinas I think.

and Starbucks over-roasts their coffee

Yup. Their "blonde" coffee is actually drinkable, because it has a much lighter roast on it.

Chick Fil A has pretty good coffee....and milk shakes...I think I’ll have one of their coffees and a Chick Fil A biscuit that day. Then back for lunch for Waffle Fries, Sweat Tea and a sandwich.

“I don’t know if they still are, but Starbuks used to be very anti 2A..”

They reversed themselves a sharp 180 degrees under public pressure. I think the stupid New Age maunderings are gone from their cups now too. May be wrong, I don’t go there much except on long road trips.

DnD is a publically held company now. They’ve been the donut shop of choice for the Police for a long time. I bet they stay out of this craziness.

Caribou Coffee was not founded by Muslims, but through a series of mergers and acquisitions the Jihadis are now in control of them.

Don’t forget Church’s Chicken. They are owned by the same muzzie.

Shouldn't they be Mosque's Chicken then?
