Could be the by-pass surgery. I have 3 friends in their 50s who’ve had it, and they all have the same cough. But then I’m not a Dr, and I don’t sleep at that motel place... just a wild guess.

Just a hunch...but Im guessing a touch of congestive heart failure that causes the cough...THAT or allergies...I have more often than once asked mark about mold in teh carpeting in the bunker...that can casue it too...but my best guess is that his pump isnt working at 100% ergo the cough.

My mom had an uncle who had a chicken farm in northwest NJ when I was young. Whenever we’d visit she’d make us go with him to feed the chickens. There is NO WORSE SMELL in the world than a chicken house. Especially when there were baby chicks she’d make us go. As I got older I’d say but mom, it STINKS IN THERE.

When this shortage of Docs and nurses comes about..there may be a cottage industry for some of us old war-horse nurses that learned “old fashioned medicine and nursing”....the kids graduating nursing school these days know more about the bedside computer than they do about anatomy and physiology!
