The New York Times still doesn't get it...

The problem isn't that Reid is a jerk - most dems are... The problem isn't name calling - the problem is what Reid's saying about Romney not paying his taxes - is a bald faced lie. A lie the press isn't doing squat about...

The implication is that Romney didn't file - - didn't file for 10 years... Wasn't that a Charlie Rangel trick? Or was it our ' Treasury Secretary'? Who knows? I know this, if Bush had done what Rangel or Geithner did, we'd all know about it because the press would have made a federal case out of it. The press doesn't care when it's a democrat.

Nice of them to casually notice this outrage against Romney - guess they don't like the name calling... Maybe they're sensitive to it because they get called names now too...

'Too little, too late' ...

I’ve been told the sleazy gaming commisoner in Casino is based on Harry Reid. I know the movie is based on a true story.

Reid is a bitter old POS. Amazing how he just happened to wind up with property holdings adjacent to the new Boulder Dam Bridge. Harry is nothing more than a 2 bit crook. Someday karma will catch up to him.

If Reid thinks the Nevada heat is bad, wait until he experiences the heat where he will soon go. And he'll never be able to escape it.

Caution people...

Almost everyone is thinking in terms of personalities and resentments, we need to look at this from a different perspective.

Why is Reid willing to sacrifice himself at this stage. And make no mistake, that’s exactly what he’s doing politically. If you look at this as chess, Reid is at least a bishop, maybe even a rook, but whatever analogy you use, he’s a power piece on their side. Why is he launching a brute force attack on Romney at this stage, if, as many have noted, he’s going to look like an ass if he fails?

The answer is in the cold realistic nature of the political equation. If Romney wins, he will win big. It’s going to be an utter rout. If Romney wins its going to be because the TEA Party was motivated and pushed the win.

That means coattails. The Senate will go Republican with a vengeance, the House will go even further to the right, the Republicans will have the opportunity to roll back everything Obama has done in office and will be in absolutely no mood to compromise. The first Republican that mentions the word “bipartisanship” will be dragged into the cloak room and stuffed in a locker.

At that point, Reid will have as much influence and use as tits on a boar hog.

Seen from that perspective, it’s no wonder why he’s resorting to what amounts to the political equivalent of a suicide bomb attack on Romney’s tax return positions. As Coulter noted, they HAVE to damage Romney somehow. Their expected attacks are not working, he doesn’t have the traditional flaws. There are no other records to unseal.

On the other hand, if Reid’s attack forces Romney to release his tax records, you can be absolutely sure that the Dems will find something in them they can twist into the scandal. Tax law is arcane, normal people can’t follow the math. The MSM is salivating over the prospect.

They are all in this together and they know that if Obama goes down, so do they.

So there it is. Reid’s willing to blow his own reputation to hell and gone because he knows, as do all the other Dems, that this game is for all the marbles.

If Barry gets four more years, he will have the time he needs to transform the United States into a Socialist state and Reid’s position and power in that state will be secure. Nobody is going to remember any nasty things about him, nor will the media mention them.

If they lose, well...both San Fran Nan and Reid will probably retire. They will never see another Democrat president in their lifetimes.

I could use advice. There are some investigations I could pursue but they are too freaking dangerous for one person on their own. I have people who would talk, if they thought they wouldn’t be alone and crucified/.

Do you know anyone in criminal law? If not, have you tried to contact people associated with Fox News who have had careers in the law? Judge Napolitano, Jeanine Pirro, Greta, Megyn Kelly all have legal backgrounds. What about Huckabee, a former governor? Not that they’d be available to assist, but I expect they have a wide range of contacts in the legal profession and could provide advice or contacts. Also some of the military talking heads that populate Fox may have valuable knowledge. I mention Fox because it’s MSM, and as close to middle-of-the-road as you’ll find. And if all you’re doing is picking their brain for contacts, maybe they’ll be amenable to talk.

Outside of that federal prosecutor I mentioned, my only other resource would be a good buddy who’s a retired county sheriff living in Florida. But that’s not the level of experience you’re talking about. I know he had FBI training, but whether that would lead to current contacts is debatable.

One other thought, maybe two. What about FReeper LS? Larry has contacts within the Fox community. He’s been on Beck’s show and has been a talking head on Fox. He’s also currently involved in a movie project, not to mention his educational background. Somewhere I thought I read here that Michelle Malkin or Ann Coulter have or do FReep.

I know this isn’t much, living here in rural Illinois, I don’t have contacts like that except for local or state politicians and the police. BTW, I’ve downloaded your book to my Kindle and will get into it after I finish the Daniel Silva novel I’m reading.

Thanks immensely. I had put “Harry” on the back burner out of frustration. But there may be enough interest to get it popping again.
There are two levels on which to proceed: 1) the national publicity level but 2) the local private investigation level. Don’t count out your lesser connected friends, they might get a kick out of some sleuthing.
