It's an excuse to push their gun-control agenda. And that's all it is.
You may remember, only a few days after the Aurora shooting, 15 people died when a truck left a road in Texas, and crashed into some trees. As I recall, the truck was carrying 23 occupants.

Did you hear a single word from the likes of Michael Bloomberg, or Carolyn McCarthy, following this tragedy?
No.
No hand-wringing. No crocodile tears for the victims.
No calls for a ban on "assault vehicles", capable of traveling faster than the speed limit.
No calls for a ban on "high capacity assault vehicles", capable of carrying 10 or more passengers.
They couldn't care less.
They couldn't use these deaths in Texas to further their political agenda, so they, and the media, buried the story, even before the victims were in the ground.
And this is why people like Diana DeGette are beneath contempt.
