I demand free electricity and a parking spot to take the free electricity for my limited distance “car” that is so much better than yours.

When the power goes out they’re screwed.

They should put these spots in the furthest parts of the parking lots. If they have them at all.

My gas guzzler “ICE” has a weak battery. I think I’ll go park in a charge spot, pop the hood for a charge while I shop.

The way it is done is to take a heavy orange cord with a plug on the end and place the other end in my car

Did the beautiful people care about the abuse of handicapped parking spots? Maybe it’s karma for borrowing grandma’s placard.

If I plug in my truck’s block heater, can I park there?

How about free gas to fill my motorcycle’s tank if I park outside your store?

I think I will install an auxiliary air conditioner that runs on 240VAC and fit one of those charging plugs to the front of the car to power it.

Then when I can park in one of those spaces, I will, and keep the ride comfortably cool while I shop.

Bloomberg gave me the idea.

There are quite a few spots on Fort Carson for “fuel efficiency vehicles” only. I park in them every chance I get. And I’ll keep doing it until there designate some spots for “gas guzzlers” only.

Well, just to be fair, I want a couple of gallons of free gas for shopping there.
Which spot do I park in for that?

If you drive an electric car, it's nice to know that if you're making a trip to the mall or a regular spot that you can charge up your car while you're running errands.

You can do this for free?

Gotta love the related article:

800 number on Blink plug-in stations? Useless, don't bother "Ecotality's Blink network seems a little worse for wear. Despite a fat government contract, some of the company's electric plug-in charging stations have been found out of order, and their 1-800 number operators are little help."

Are these nimrods paying for the elecricity in those spots? I caught a jackass in a Nissan Leaf stealing electricity in front of the Fry's store in San Diego. He was essentially marooned by his moronic purchase. Not enough charge to make it home. Instead, he plugged into an outside 110 VAC socket on the front of the building, then sent his wife and kids to mill around inside for hours while the POS charged. Eventually, it was sufficiently charged. He pulled the charging cable, put it away in the trunk and tracked down his family inside.

Businesses with exposed electric sockets need to keep the power switched off unless they want these parasites running up their electric bills.

The article asked readers to post comments about their experiences being ICEd. Is it just me, or is there not a single comment on that article at all? Talk about a tell...
