Romney Pivots, Embraces Romneycare Again

"At the top of my list of programs we don't need is one that costs $100 billion a year I'm going to get rid of and that's Obamacare," he said to cheers at a rally.

But then, a telling pivot: "By the way, that doesn't mean that health care is perfect. We've got to do reforms in health care and I have some experience doing that, as you know. And I know how to make a better setting than the one we have in health care."

Romney - the Magic RINO:
"I'm not running as the Republican view
or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.

(Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn't make any sense at all.""

Romney said he will repeal Obamacare. If you don’t believe it then don’t vote for him. Maybe he’s a liar? I do know that there’s no ‘maybe’ with Obama being a liar. This is liberal media spin trying to defeat Romney before the voting takes place. Looking at the responses it looks like the liberals are pulling our chain and succeeding. I’ve sent money to Newt and Cain to no avail. So what am I to do – not vote for Romney because my guy didn’t win the nomination? I doubt it.

If you say so, but in your voting history when is the last time you saw a candidate reach out to the extreme wing of his party during an election year instead of drawing from the middle ground? Ever? It's unprecedented. Obama's hard turn left makes him an icon to his party, but sheds voters. He is throwing them Romney's way, but Romney is barely capable of catching a single digit polling advantage. After decades of them encouraging party loyalty, it's hard for them to turn democrats away.

Disagree. Impeachment is always a big deal. It's a bigger deal when it is successful. That is something with which Clinton was not forced to contend. Hopefully the Congress is a little more fed up and a little more practiced this time. Certainly Obama has fewer allies than Clinton at this point.

I was referring to your new penchant for spamming in your lust to destroy the opposition to Obama.

I don’t even bother to read your posts anymore, so I really don’t know what you tried to spittle at me. When I lose respect for someone, that’s usually how I deal with it, ignore their foolishness. Have nice day

Romney said he would "repeal" and "replace" ObamaCare. My issue with this is that I *do* believe him. Once nationalized healthcare has been touted and accepted by both parties, it's place in national politics is solidified in perpetuity. It'll be harder to undo than Roe vs Wade. It's big step forward in the socialization of the nation is accomplished. The socialists and communists will celebrate even as they join the ranks of the downtrodden working class. It is imperative that our candidate repeals and does *not* replace ObamaCare. I do not trust Romney to be such a candidate, based upon his own words and deeds, and will not vote for him.

In the last week I’ve received mailings from the GOP and from the Romney campaign asking for money. There was NO mention of ‘conservative values’ or even the word ‘conservative’ in any of it. It’s sad these people are not conservatives. But what is the alternative? Cry about it? Maybe next time, if there is a next time, we can get a conservative. But it ain’t happening this time... so I’m getting over it. The choice will be Romney or Obama. That’s the fact, sadly.

I get it. It's disappointing in so many ways. But, who WILL you vote for – No one? That's throwing it away.

It's a numbers game.

We need to send in reinforcements (and hang onto the guys we have, e.g. Scott Brown).

Whereas I agree with your synopsis, honestly the last thing I want is to deliver our own team an "I told you so". By that point, the damage is done and it's too late to fix it. That is why I posted this article with some trepidation. I knew I would face the slings and arrows of some of our well-intentioned FRiends as the true image of Romney is put out for display. But, better that I catch an arrow or two now than to let the rest of us fall prey to such a simple chess move as is being played against us. They are sacrificing their queen to win the game, and without a "well-known" conservative candidate in the race our options to avoid the gambit are few. So I have opted for a "strong" conservative candidate though not well known. I'm open to other gambits, but this is the only one I see with the potential for success at this time.

It most certainly is, but so is the idea that he will be as bad, or even remotely as bad as the most egregiously destructive, lawless, pro-Marxist, pro-muzzie, pro-death, anti-free enterprise, anti-American, anti-everything we love and care for administration ever.

No, Romney will be worse for the nation that Obama because he'll wipe out the Republican majority in the House and allow Democrats to sweep back into power at the state level.

After Romney is done, it will be 2008 all over again and someone just as bad as Obama will be the next President.

The Republican establishment feeds off irrational fear of Obama and Democrats in order to gain and maintain power.

Romneycare is not a Federal program.

A form of it will be if Romney wins the election.

It’s oxymoronic. Romneycare is not a Federal program.

Some people are willfully blinded by their own rage. It doesn't matter if a state pays more federal taxes than it gets back in services, it doesn't matter something is a state program rather than fed, all that matters if Romney wasn't their choice for nominee so attack they must. He must be destroyed. Obama doesn't matter to them, they're prefer Obama because they can rage even more for another four years and attack the Republicans, blame them for not picking their candidate last time.

I call them Pontius Pilate voters.

There is not a well-known conservative in the race for POTUS this election, but there is a strong conservative. I'm voting *for* Virgil Goode instead of voting *against* Obama. If I vote against Obama, the liberals win either way because they have groomed both those battlefields. Strengthening the Constitution Party is my recommendation, but I do not presume to direct anyone on how to cast their votes. I just want my FRiends to see how we are being played and to cast their votes with their eyes open to the bigger picture.

That could happen, IF the awakened people go back to sleep in 2014 instead of building more Tea Party cleanser into the House and Senate. Whomever is sworn in January 2013 is not going to be a conservative. Both of the top candidates are left of center politicians. It comes down to which one is more likely to be 'pushable' toward the center and perhaps even occasionally right of center. I am absolutely convinced that litle barry abstard commie boy, since he would not have to stand for re-election again, doesn't give a hoot in hell for what conservatives want, whereas Romney at least is vulnerable to conservative policies since he will be acutely aware of legacy building as the first Mormon elected to presidency of the US. You can bet, however, that by self=professed conservatives workign their fannies off to destroy Romney, the result will be at the least a reduced turnout of conservative voters. Nothing squelches anger at the marxist-in-chief like constantly telling conservatives that they're angering God by voting for the alternative to four more years of little barry bastard commie, or that they're too stupid or turned leftist if they vote for the alternative to the commie-in-chief and his criminal minions. Spit hopelessness at conservatives long enough and you reduce their turnout to vote. Now that will teach the GOPe a lesson, won't it!

The Republican establishment feeds off irrational fear

You're out of your mind.

There are perfectly sound reasons for being fearful of what Bambi will do, it's perfectly rational to fear what Hugo Chavez Kardashian Jr will do with another four years. He's done it every day, every week, every month, every year for almost four years.

Where the H*ll have you been that you don't see this? How irrational are you that you think we can handle four more years of these destructive, divisive, insane things that will be done (that have been done daily, weekly, monthly in front of your eyes)?

LOL!!! Poor little Diogenesis, wrapped in his hatred of Mitt Romney. I guess it keeps you warm at night.

How pathetic you are.

You and your fellow Mitt Romney haters are really self-parodizing . . . as entertaining and rational as any liberal moonbat.

Thanks for the laugh.
