Romney is smart and has the best pollsters.

I had it like this:
if he was +5 Pawlenty
+2 Portman;
Dead heat and Florida and Ohio were good Ryan would be the pick.
-2 Rubio if Florida looked bad.
-5 Christy.

So what was the point of the whole tea party thing?

We ended up with Romney who pretty much invented Obamacare and was pro choice until last week.

And in his first big decision he picks someone who voted for TARP, Medicare Part D, NCLB, the Auto Bailout, all of W’s bloated budgets, basically every expansion of the fedl govt that took place under W he voted for, never said a word while W was doubling the natl debt, a guy who voted with Bush 95% of the time, a guy who has been in DC for 15 years and is a career establishment insider and politician, and whose big selling point is a budget that doesn’t balance until 2035 and keeps spending levels far higher than they were under Clinton.

Romney and Ryan are as establishment and as insider as you can get. Representing the very establishment the tea party is fighting against.

They’re popping the champagne corks in the beltway today.

the fact that Rubio is not a natural born citizen, and therefore not eligible.

This is not a fact, it is your opinion. It will only become a fact when the Supreme Court provides a precise definition of NBC.

Not to hijack the thread.

The article also mentions Ryan worked as a salesman for Oscar-Mayer when he was in college.

So he takes the Weiner vote away from Anthony.

This fascination with Rubio is odd.

He was never in the running at all - a construct of some people’s personal wish, he does have negatives that will not go away, he has repeatedly said that he is not interested in moving up just yet, which is a good career decision at this early point in his political service, and yet some just keep pounding the Rubio theme.
Even after Ryan is disclosed as the presumptive choice!

Rubio is my Senator and I’m happy about that, but the unsubstantiated belief that Hispanics will flock en mass to vote for a Cuban is without merit.

His positions are very much like Jeb Bush and you all want to pander with that?
No thanks, Ryan is a good conservative choice.
Not my 1st choice, but a good one.

t’s about FLORIDA, and Cubans, and Rubio’s state that would surely go red with Rubio as VP.

for good reasons, I believe that is very wrong.
I live here in Florida and right off the bat, the Cuban Americans are pretty conservative GOP voters.
Rubio isn’t going to add to those numbers, and other hispanics do not really care for him in any meaningful way that will vastly change if he was ever considered for VP.

Florida is going Pub this election cycle and by more than any “margin of error.”

Ryan is a solid conservative and now its off to the convention!
I can see November! Its Ohio we had all best worry about in a big way.

No they did not. Not even Mark Levin agrees with you on Rubio’s eligibility.

Wow! I didn’t know NWS was part of Homeland Security! What are the wackjob libs planning? Are they gonna start a revolution, a roundup of right thinking citizens or race riots?

I really wouldn’t put anything past these repulsive POS.

Their only plan is to be offended as gays because they work by the bribing system. Collective f@g bargaining is still f@g bargaining. It’s such bull crap extortion system and cowardice. What a bunch of losers.

Socialism are nice words for liberals to accept bribes. TEll them in their face what the deal is, they refuse under pretense they cannot accept bribes. But make it look moraly correct, and they take it. DOuble faced hypocrites and coward Idiots.

I believe you. I lived in Florida in 2004 and "knew" Bush had it. In 2008 was in Texas and friends in Florida were worried -- "felt sure" Obama had it.

As for Ohio...
