And that is why, for me, the addition of Ryan to the ticket does not offset Romney enough to vote for Romney.
Were the positions reversed, it would be more interesting -- then I'd have to consider whether I thought Ryan had sufficient executive decision-making experience to do well in a very difficult executive position. We have had four years of seeing what a President with no executive experience does in that position, we don't need any more amateur hour.
A ticket reversal would require a major shakeup in the GOPe, and I don't expect it to occur. On the other hand, it would make me interested enough to watch some of the convention. But as it is, I don't need an emetic that badly.
