Not to disagree with you entirely, or Jim, but..... imho, we are NOT “the party”, as you say, when we are all losers, all the time, every time. It is WE the conservative Republicans who have been every bit as hard as Sarah Palin; WE who have been just as used and abused as Sarah Palin ever was! We have been duped by our own lack of abilities to play hard ball, the same as Sarah Palin was duped by Katie Couric! We can’t hit back and make a punch land because we are so rhetorically wrapped in the flag we have no actual infantry strength to make a landing in the first place.

Everyone whines with sentiment for Sarah Palin, Sarah Palin, Sarah Palin, who can’t get covered by anyone but right wing blogs, just like WE can’t get an audience even with Republican Establishment insiders!

Palin is awesome at sentiment, and lovely, and a dynamo on the stump. All of which thoroughly irritated the Marxists and certainly fed to our own great satisfaction. But, among ourselves so are we pretty great and patriotic at sounding off, understanding full well frome whence we came, able to raise the name of our fore fathers over issue after issue, rather than EXPERTLY discussing the danged issue!

It is PAST TIME to campaign on sentiment of a once great nation and have nothing else but sentiment in our arsenal. This alone, I believe, is what brought Sarah no DC future.

We need political marksman now, who don’t lose, with not only brains, but willing to show up and prove their cunning and expertise, and experience, authority in their field, and CONFIDENCE in getting on the general election field for keeps. And a willingness to RUN.

I appreciate Palin much more for what she is and for the decision she has made to be an awesome cheerleader for the troops, a mascot for patriotism if you will. A potential strategic LEADER of national and international influence on global fiscal collapse and a Leik Walenske,(however you spell his name)? Good grief, NO!

I certainly doubt Ryan and Romney, but theirs is a field at least where they are thought to be rather expert and everyone knows it. Ryan will not easily be driven off by the likes of Katie Couric, nor by any hint of unpreparedness for the ticket.

We should drop the past sentimental stars of the moment and get a grip on the future in a hurry with some real metal in our arsenal.

WE have short memories.

Even with Sarah Palin’s addition to the ticket in 2008, so many conservatives chose to stay home, remember that? Something about teaching the party a lesson. Instead, the lesson taught was to the country.

I learned something from 2008.
