Maybe you had her back, but nobody else did. All of the complaining I see about the GOP leadership, but yet when Sarah Palin was trashed, her children were trashed, Rick Santorum’s children were trashed, who did anything about it? Nobody. That includes me, too. Maybe you were the lone voice with her back in 2008, but I think maybe more needed to be done.

I’ve learned to not ever again do “nothing”.

Yep. In fact, do you remember when Palin’s church was torched, shortly after the election? The media just barely covered it, and when they did (like on CNN), they saved it until the last of their newsprogram stories, like a quirky little curiosity, and could barely hide their little smirks. Did anyone in the GOP come out and make a big public stand, regarding any of this? No. Did anyone in the GOP come out and give Palin even a shred of support when she was under a deliberate and coordinated effort to drive her and her family into financial bankrupcy?

It’s almost mind-boggling, how the GOP leadership voices were so muted, every time Palin was under outlandish attack, whether media smears or assaults on her livlihood. More often than not, they joined in with the liberal scum in the media to further trash her. Four years of this crap. I’ve lost every tiny shred of respect I had for the GOP, as they jockeyed back-and-forth between being backstabbers or abject cowards, in regards to supporting one of their own (who had repeatedly worked her heart out for the Party). I was truly STUNNED at how lowly the Republican Party behaved in these circumstances.
