Prosperity IS shared. Prosperous people start businesses, grow businesses, and employ lots of people. They contribute to the overall economy by buying business and consumer goods. It’s called a free market economy.
Obama’s idea of sharing prosperity is the government confiscating wealth from the private sector, picking business winners and losers contingent on how much graft comes their way, and doling government money out to grow dependency, i.e. buy votes.
Indeed, the Republic is founded on the notion of guaranteeing "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". Decide, in reasonable rational fairness (taking money by force from others isn't), what "happy" means to you and get busy pursuing it.
