Davidson College in North Carolina has become the first university in the nation to prevent Chick-fil-A from being served on campus.
A liberal arts college in North Carolina has become the first in the nation to prevent Chick-fil-A from being served at campus events over the restaurant's indirect support of pro-family groups perceived by some as “anti-gay.”
The student organization that controls student funds at Davidson College made the decision last week to prevent the sandwiches from being served at a series of events called “After Midnight,” when students circulated a petition expressing outrage over a Chick-fil-A’s owner’s monetary donations to groups including Focus on the Family and the Family Research Council.

In the spirit of Tolerance, the Davidson College Student Council voted to not tolerate Chick-Fil-A on campus. A spokesman said “We hate anyone who practices hate. We will ban anyone who doesn’t support freedom”.
I stopped donating to Indiana University, my alma mater, when they elevated a Soviet Communist professor of mine to Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.
Yes, Professor Hansen was in every way, an outright Soviet Communist. All done under the Myles Brand administration. You know, the guy who as President of the NCAA decided that the way to deal with rampant academic and financial fraud in collegiate sports was to ban the use of Native American nicknames. See, if you’re team is called the “Wildcats” you can pay basketball players who remain eligible even thought they couldn’t spell “cat” if you spotted them the “c” and the “a.” But if you are the “Chippewas” you need to be punished.
Outrage? Outrage over some taking a Biblical stand for the marriage of a man & woman only?
I’m out raged that the sons & daughters would take a stand against those that will not lie down and approve legal sodomity, etc.

I lived maybe 5 miles from Davidson College in NC. It is a private, rich man’s school, full of preppies and pretension and NO ONE cares what those liberal pansies do.
Guess those po, book learnin’ chirren will jes have tuh make do with their sushi and designer pizzas hand fed to them by their staff for dinner instead of Chick Fil A. Wah.
The only good in this kind of thing is finally and fully illuminating the true nature of the liberal-gay agenda.
And, I hope a lot of illuminating and true nature of the leftists comes out before November. Some people need to be beat in the heads repeatedly to get it.

NC has its problems (a LOT of transplanted NYers and NJites) but NC is NOT Davidson College.

I’m past 78 years old, and I’ve aways thought highly of the UNC, especially of their basketball program. But now, for me no more!

The influx of out-of-staters bringing their politics with them has turned that state from solid conservative to a battle-ground state. Although this year, I think it will go Republican.
