Romney's brilliant foreign policy choice [ 2nd Former Reagan adviser to compare Mitt to Reagan ]

No doubt the Obama administration is fast at work sharpening their knives to slice and dice Paul Ryan as lacking the foreign policy chops to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

By choosing Paul Ryan as his running mate, Romney has made an inspired choice – on foreign policy grounds!

First, the greatest long-term national security threat the United States faces isn’t China, or Russia, or Al Qaeda. It’s our dwindling economic power. As former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mullin has said many times, “the single, biggest threat to our national security is our debt.”

I’ve worked for three presidents, and the best of them was Ronald Reagan. People used to say Reagan didn’t know enough about foreign affairs to be president. But he knew enough to win the Cold War without firing a shot, which all the diplomats, academics and experts before him had failed to do.

Reagan understood that America’s free market capitalism is the most powerful weapon in our arsenal. And he understood that before using it to defeat the Soviet Empire, he would have to bring it back to health. 2012 is shaping up to be 1980 all over again. Compare Obama’s “you didn’t build that” with Paul Ryan’s call to arms that “We won’t duck the tough issues...we will lead!

“We won’t blame others…we will take responsibility!

“We won’t replace our founding principles…we will reapply them!

By choosing Paul Ryan as his running mate, Romney has crossed the Rubicon into Reagan land. He has wedded himself to the Ryan budget and there is no turning back.

The articles are too long for you.

Sorry , they don’t fit on a bumper sticker like Ron Paul’s do.

Yep, to long.

I don’t know bumper stickers can convey a lot.

Bumper sticker: Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness

Whereas, Obama can talk for, what seems like, non-stop for 3 plus years and say very little.

Fact,is Romeny himself said he was no Reagan. Did he take it back?
Thats not even going into all his extreme liberal positions while Governor.

Ron Paul?

He didn't when he posted that. What are you going to do... keep attacking Conservatives that disagree with you?

I am seeing attacks and preening and gloating from rombots, in return for your personal decision to vote for romney. Are we Conservatives now persona non grata on FR? Jim, do you embrace the attack and harassment of those that were behind you when you were steadfast against romney? Should I leave now and not return? Is it open season on those of us that cannot support willard. Just say the word... one way or the other... this crap needs to either be condoned or you need to come out and respect those of us that cannot get to where you are.

Thanks for the ping, LLS.

Knock that crap off right now, NoLibZone! It's NEVER going to be open season on those of us who are NOT yet behind Romney, and might not eVER be, so get that fact through your head!

Our valiant TEA Party patriot candidates are not on our ticket. I remain praying for not just “a” miracle, but for several miracles, and I know you’re praying too, dearest LLS.

Somehow, some way, I know our good Lord and Savior will help us save our Republic. I’m certain Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich and mighty TEA Patriot others will be heard on many crucial issues. In fact, I've just read that GOP Platform Committee passed a very strict pro-life, anti-abortion platform, FWIW. I hope Romney will be forced to live up to it. Perhaps VP Pau Ryan is one of our miracles. DRO keeps telling me he is and he prays as much, and likely more than I do, and I pray almost non-stop.
